Sean Genders’ 20-odd minute film The Edge of Reality is opening the Dungog Film festival in NSW on May 27th – and playing at The St Kilda Film Festival the weekend following. The Wildes have contributed much of the soundtrack. If you can get to either location make sure you check it out. Stars John Jarratt (Wolf Creek) and Dan Wyllie.
Throughout the month of June we will be doing something a little unusual – a front bar residency on Friday afternoons from 6pm at The Builders Arms in Fitzroy, Melbourne. The gigs will be a little different from normal Wildes shows – we’ll be “unplugged” and playing with all sorts of different acoustic instruments – and we’ll even have a guest or two including The Basics’ frontman Kris Schroeder and Queensland songstress Chloe Tully. To cut a long story short we have a whole bunch of new songs and want to try them out in front of an audience – we might even write a few new ones on the spot.
